The main written examination was conducted on 26th and 29th June 2025. The selection for GPSC State Tax Inspector Class-III is based on:
- Preliminary Examination
- Main Written Examination (400 Marks)

Merit List & Result Details
- Total marks considered: 400 (Main Written Exam)
- Waiting list prepared: 20% of advertised posts
- Candidates absent in any paper are declared ineligible
- Reserved category candidates scoring general cut-off are adjusted against Unreserved posts (MRC rule)
- Bonus marks applicable for Sports & Widow candidates (5%)
- In case of tie, elder candidate gets preference
