Educational Qualification
Candidates must have:
- Master of Social Work (Psychiatry) OR
- Master of Social Work (MSW) OR
- Master of Arts in Social Work
(Degree must be from a recognized university under UGC Act, 1956.)
Additionally:
- Basic knowledge of Computers as per Gujarat Civil Services Rules, 1967.
- Knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi or both.
Age Limit
- Minimum Age: 18 years
- Maximum Age: 37 years (as on 05/12/2025)
Upper Age Relaxation (as per rules):
- Female (General): +5 years
- SEBC/SC/ST (Male): +5 years
- SEBC/SC/ST (Female): +10 years
- PwD (General): +10 years (up to 45 years)
- PwD (Reserved): +15 to +20 years (up to 45 years)
- Ex-Servicemen: Service period + 3 year
Salary (Pay Scale)
- ₹49,600/- fixed per month for first 5 years
- After 5 years → Pay Matrix Level-7: ₹39,900 – ₹1,26,600/-
(subject to satisfactory service and government rules)

GSSSB will conduct a single-stage competitive examination:
1. MCQ Written Examination (CBRT/OMR Based)
- Part-A (60 Marks)
- Logical Reasoning & Data Interpretation – 30
- Quantitative Aptitude – 30
- Part-B (150 Marks)
- Constitution of India, Current Affairs, Gujarati & English Comprehension – 30
- Subject-related (Medical Social Work) – 120
Total: 210 Marks
Negative Marking: 1/4 per wrong answer
Qualifying Marks:
- Part A → 40%
- Part B → 40%
