- Attendant Operator (Chemical Plant) – 3-year B.Sc (Maths, Physics, Chemistry / Industrial Chemistry)
- Fitter – Matric + ITI (Fitter Trade, 2 years)
- Boiler Apprentice – B.Sc (Maths, Physics, Chemistry / Industrial Chemistry)
- Technician Apprentice (Chemical) – Diploma in Chemical/Petrochemical/Refinery & Petrochemical Engg./Chemical Technology
- Technician Apprentice (Mechanical) – Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
- Technician Apprentice (Electrical) – Diploma in Electrical / Electrical & Electronics Engg.
- Technician Apprentice (Instrumentation) – Diploma in Instrumentation / Electronics / Applied Electronics etc.
- Secretarial Assistant – B.A. / B.Sc / B.Com
- Accountant – B.Com
- Data Entry Operator (Fresher) – Class 12 pass
- Data Entry Operator (Skill Certificate Holder) – Class 12 + Skill Certificate in Domestic Data Entry Operator
Note:
- Minimum 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/PwBD).
- Only regular full-time courses are accepted.
- Candidates with higher qualifications like BE/B.Tech, MBA, CA, etc., are not eligible.
Age Limit (as on 30 November 2025)
- Minimum Age: 18 years
- Maximum Age: 24 years
Age Relaxation
- SC/ST: +5 years
- OBC-NCL: +3 years
- PwBD: +10 years (additional relaxation for SC/ST/OBC PwBD)
Stipend / Salary
As per Apprentices Act 1961/1973 and IOCL rules.

- Selection based on percentage of marks in qualifying examination.

- Older age
- Higher marks in Class 10
