Western Coalfields Limited (WCL), a Mini Ratna Company under Coal India Limited, has released the official notification for the engagement of 1213 Apprentice Trainees for FY 2025–26. The recruitment includes Graduate, Diploma, ITI Trade, and Fresher Apprentice positions under the Apprentices Act, 1961. Eligible candidates from Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh can apply online through the official WCL website.

Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
Graduate Apprentice
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mining Engineering.
Diploma Apprentice
- Diploma in Mining / Mining & Mine Surveying.
ITI Apprentice
- Matriculation (10th) + NCVT/SCVT Trade Certificate in respective trade.
Fresher Apprentice (Security Guard Optional Trade)
- Minimum 10th Pass.
Note: Higher qualifications than required will not be accepted.
Age Limit
As on 01 August 2025:
- Minimum: 18 Years
- Maximum: 26 Years
- SC/ST: +5 years
- OBC-NCL: +3 years
- PwBD: +10 years (relaxation extended for SC/ST/OBC categories)
Stipend / Salary
